Abstract

This is an investigation of some samples of Ibn Malik al-amwi's Poetry in the Mamluk Period. The article aims to explore the mechanism, procedures and strategies of text production and provides a typology of them, specifying their effectiveness in constructing texts and conveying intended concepts and meanings. Accordingly, first, we have discussed the employment of different types of intertextual strategies. Then we have considered the significance of such textual and stylistic strategies and the current potterns of this practice.
