Critic Izzuldin Ismaiel has produced a big volume of work. He is one of the pioneers that played a prominent role in featuring the modern poetic verse in Egypt and other Arab countries. His Book "Contemporary Arabic Poetry: Its Issues and Technical Aspects", though old, is still considered the constitution that outlines this movement. This Research discusses this ideas of the critic in his book, endorsing some and disagreehng with others. The critic has presented a description of Modern Poetic movement both in its topics and in techniques. There has been some disagreement with this scholar on some cases but this is something normal as the passage of time make it inevitable. مازال العمل على الفكر النقدي للنقاد، على الرغم من كثرتهم، قليلا. والعمل على فكر الناقد يقدم للقارئ المتابع، الخط الذي سار عليه هذا الناقد، والمنطلقات التي أسست لنظرته إلى الأدب. والناقد عز الدين إسماعيل ناقد غزير الإنتاج، وهو أحد الرواد الذين كان لهم دور بارز في بلورة القصيدة الشعرية الحديثة، في مصر، والوطن العربي كله، وكتابه "الشعر العربي المعاصر / قضاياه وظواهره الفنية" ـ على قدمه ـ يعد الدستور الذي سطر لهذه الحركة خطوطها الرئيسة. وهذا البحث يقوم على محاورة أفكار الناقد في هذا الكتاب، وما أكثرها، يؤيّد بعضها، ويخالف بعضها الآخر؛ فالناقد قام بتوصيف حركة الشعر الحديث، فنيّا وموضوعاتيا، ولئن اختلفت الباحث في بعض القضايا، فهذا شيء طبيعي، تحتّمه السيرورة الزمانية. https://lasem.semnan.ac.ir/article_1321_8f700c2d0495a18a3ffd9c2757ad5822.pdf
